ANNOUNCEMENT DELAYED. “BIG THREE” AGREEMENT. (Rec. 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, May 7. The' Ministry of Information lias issued a statement that tomorrow will be treated as VE-Day. The official statement that the war in Europe is over lias been delayed and will not be made until tomorrow afternoon. The delay has been caused by tlie agreement between Mr Churchill, President Truman anil Marshal Stalin that the announcement should he made simultaneously in London, Washington and Moscow. ■ The Columbia Broadcasting System s correspondent says President Truman and Mr Churchill were prepared to broadcast the official news of tlie surrender at noon today, but they delayed it because Marshal Stalin was not ready.
