SWISS PEOPLE KILLED
BOMBERS’ MISTAKE.
(Rec. 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 22. Sixteen people were killed and six towns bombed today by American and unidentified planes flying over the North and South-Western Swiss frontier regions, says an official Swiss statement.
Reuter’s Zurich correspondent says three persons were killed and several injured by bombs at Stein, on the Rhine.
Allied planes were attacking German rail targets just- beyond the Swiss border.
