At a meeting of the St. Andrew s Presbyterian Guild, sympathy with Miss It. Lindsay in her illness was expressed, the secretary being requested to write 1 conveying good wishes.
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting in his capacity as Dominion Chief Scout, has awarded the Medal of Merit to Miss D. W. Hubbard, district cub master, Masterton, for her good services to the Scout movement. Joining the movement 25 years ago, Miss Hubbard has 'rendered yeoman service to the Scouts of the Wairarapa. She was one of the first New Zealand Cub Masters to gain the Wood Badge. Members of St. Paul’s Methodist Guild held their lirst meeting of the year yesterday, Mrs G. H. Bycroft presiding in the absence of the president (Mrs U. Eaton). The attendance was good and many business matters were dealt with. Arrangements were made for the harvest festival and also for the annual meeting, to be held next month. Mesdames Randall and S. Hubbard were the tea hostesses.
