FRONT ON SENIO RIVER (N.Z. Press Association. —Copyright.) (Rec. 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, Dec 22 Canadian troops of the Eighth Army have captured Bagnacavallo, 10 miles' north of Faenza, have» broken enemy resistance immediately north of it, and have reached the Senio River on a broad front.
Eighth Army troops, after heavy fighting, have' driven a deep wedge into the German positions north-west of Faenza, says the Exchange Telegraph Agency's Rome correspondent. A 8.8. C. correspondent says the Germans appear to be making a general retreat across the Senio River.
