NEW EASTERN FRONT
POSSIBLE GERMAN MOVE INDICATIONS IN HUNGARY (N.Z. Press Association.—Copyright.) (Pec. 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30. According to Moscow correspondents Marshal Tolbukhin's offensive in Southern Hungary, west of tho Danube is giving fresh indications that the German High Command will be forced into a new defence line along the south-eastern front. This line may run from the area of Trieste through Vienna across tho Bohemian plateau to "Warsaw and East Prussia.
More and more .Russians are crossing the Danube where semi-permanent bridgeheads, strongly protected from tho air, are now established. "Battle is continuing," was the terse flash from Marshal Tolbukhin's
Danube bridgehead today. Reports on tho course of the battle so far make it plain that the Germans are sparing no effort to hold the Russians from fanning out across Western Hungary. The Russians have captured Eger, tho big rail centre 75 miles northeast of Budapest.
