COUNTER-MOVES IN ITALY TWO FEATURES RETAKEN (N.Z. Press Association. —Copyright.) (Bee. 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30. .Fighting on various sectors ol the Fifth Army front yesterday reached the highest intensity of recent weeks with, the enemy regaining two terrain, features, says the Itonie correspondent of tlie Exchange Telegraph Agency. Indian and British troops, however, made a series of gains on the Fifth Army's east flank and occupied the town of Casola Valensio, also Monte Fortino, both about 10 miles southwest of Jmola. The most violent fighting was around Monte Belvedere and Corona. The enemy succeeded in recapturing both places. Monte Belvedere was captured by the Filth Army three days previously. The Germans had been coun-ter-attacking against Monte Belvedere since being thrown out. The enemy also regained Monte Catellaro, north of Monte Garande.
Today's Allied communique states that the enemy in tho Eighth Army sector launched small counter-attacks which were repulsed, and the general position is unchanged. Ground previously held by the enemy, in the mountains south-west of Facnza has been evacuated. Our fighting patrols in this sector are most active.
The enemy on the main Fifth Army front launched counter-attacks in varying strength and gained some ground in the vicinity of J\Jonte Castellaro, south-east of Bologna, and we were forced to abandon Monte Belvedere, north-west of Forrct Taterme. Elsewhere counter-attacks were repulsed and activity confined to local artillery fire and patrolling.
