A.N.A. CLUB

1 Large attendances were welcomed at the week-end entertainments at the A.N.A. Club. At the dance on Saturday evening the winners of the Monte Carlo, were Miss E. Osborne and Gunner J. Ridley. Soft drinks were served by Mrs L. E. Bale and Miss R. Gillies and hostess duties were carried out by Mesdames D. C. Dickson, G. Page, P. Lane, K. C. Clavton, Misses H. Collinson. L. McDonald, W. Whyte, and N. Nash, while valuable assistance ivas given by Messrs Bennett and Evans. On Sunday the hostesses, Mesdames Dickson, Page, and Clayton, Misses Nash and Haggitt, were assisted by Mesdames H. J. Johnson, N. Ratcliffe, F. Pegden, G. Callender, C. Anderson, and L. Pacey, Misses M. Mclvor, Baldwin, and J. Johnson. The Misses Warren served the soft drinks and Mr Drake of the bowls. At the canteen 351 teas and 37 suppers were served, the organisation on duty being the Townswomen’s Guild. Mesdames D. H. Cook and F. J. Nathan were responsible for the artistic arrangement of flowers in the clubrooms, and entertainment was provided by the Girls’ Music Club, led by Miss L. McDonald. Mrs H. Prince was at the piano and members of the forces contributed items. The hostesses, Mesdames A. A. Langley, D. H. Cook and L. Olliver, were assisted by Mesdames W. Bingham, J. Kennedy, L. Sadd,. Bull, Cooksley, Sargison, Chalk, J. Carruthcrs, Low, McLeod, Matthews, Misses J. Bingham, J. Eagle, A. Holden, S._ Dalziell, Ferguson, Hollins, and Keats.
