A humorous incident occurred recently to prove that not only do our soldiers go “over the top,” but girls can do so on occasions. After a social evening had been enjoyed at a popular city clubroom it was found that the 7ft grid at the outer door, which was shut, had jambed. After many unsuccessful offorts to open it, assistance from outside was solicited and a bicycle stand was used to form a ramp, over which the girls were assisted, and they were at last able to go on their way.
