C-IN-C VISITS CYPRUS
LONDON, Dec. 25. General Alexander, Commander-in-Chicf Middle East, accompanied by staff officers paid a surprise visit to Cyprus by plane, escorted by R.A.U. fighters. He participated in a defence conference and toured tlie defences by plane and on foot. He also visited Transjordan at the week-end and inspected tho Arab Legion and the Transjordan frontier force. The Emir Abdullah entertained him at dinner.
