RANGIOTU
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' Just recently the local school held its breaking-up concert and danco which was a huge success. There is no doubt that this was one of the biggest gatherings' seen at the local hall for some time. The concert programme was well organised by Mr Wills and Miss Carson, and was enjoyed by everyone present.. At the conclusion of the concert Mr C. Rose called on Mrs 11. Bond to present the Calf Club Cup to the winner, and also the various pupils’ certificates. Miss Nancy Brier was the winner of the cup, and in presenting the trophy, Mrs Bond stated that it was wonderful to see the fine spirit of good feeling among tho competitors. She hoped that it would continue to prevail in future competitions. The dux of the school was Richard Duncan. Quite a number of pupils who were leaving school received their certificates also. After the presentation, Mr Wills (headmaster) thanked the people who had helped them to mako tho function a success, and also the gathering for their patronage.
