NATIONAL CLUB.
The year which is about to end has been a very difficult ono owing chiefly lo the war, earthquakes, and benzine restrictions, and a lack of interest in party politics chiefly owing to the war, says a special issue by the chairman (Mr Cubitt). Despite these difficulties, the tearoom takings have been quite good, the euchre tournaments have proved a great success and wore enjoyed by all. Quite a number of patriotic committees meet in the afternoons and the popularity of the rooms have kept them well occupied JJefinitely the club is in a very sound position, but wo would welcome more interest from party members. The membership will bo improved, especially when it is realised the subscription is low.
