(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 7. On June 7 there appeared in Now Zealand newspapers a cable from London advising,tho death of Professor Gilbert Murray. A resolution of sympathy with tho British League of Nations Union on his loss was passed by the Dominion council and tho Wellington executive of the L.N.U. and forwarded to British headquarters. Tho following cable was received yesterday from Major A. J. Freshwater (overseas secretary of the union): —"Delighted to inform you that Professor Murray is alive and well and attended an executive meeting to-day. The executive thanks your council nevertheless for its sympathetic message."
