METHODIST FLOWER FAIR

Despite the recont adverse weather conditions the Cuba Street Methodist Ladies’ Guild’s spring fair was a marked success. The splendid entries in the flower competitions and the tables laden with goods for sale revealed the work that had been done to make the fair satisfactory from all points of view. Cre'dit is due to Mrs A. E. Fisher (president), Mrs E. Twigg (secretary), Mrs F. Dorset (fair committee secretary) and members of the committee for the excellent results obtained. On their arrival, tho Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrs Mansford) were welcomed by Mrs Fisher and Rev. H. L. Fiebig. In declaring the fair open, Mr Mansford congratulated the committee- on its splendid effort .and the exhibitors on the high standard of tho flowers. The following were the judges: Cut flowers, Mrs A. W Just; decorative, Mrs A. A. Graham; cooking, Mrs M. Dixon. Awards were: Narcissi. —12 daffodils (Mi's C. R.
