MORE SACRIFICES
BRITAIN’S WAR EFFORT
LORD WOOLTON’S DEMAND LONDON, Sept. 24. Lord Woolton (Minister of Food) has told tho people of Britain that they will have to tighten their belts still further, so that tho country can make still greater efforts to supply war materials during the next 12 months. Tho Minister says that it is necessary to conserve everything possible to liolp the war effort, and, though they would have to lower still further the standard of living, there would bo enough food to keep the nation fighting fit, and ho thought that the people would como out of tho war as healthy as they were when they entered it.
