IDLE COLLERIES
SECRET BALLOT TO-DAY. (Press Assn.) HAMILTON, Sept. 25. No work was attempted in the strike-affected coalfields to-day, the Wilton colliery, which was operated yesterday, being also idle. The secret ballot is being taken in the various coalfields to-day on the issue as to whether or not tho men should return to work.
The State-owned Mnngapehi mine, near T’e Kuit-i, is continuing its operations.
