ADDINGTON VALUES. (Press Assn.) CHRISTCHURCTI. Mar. 25 At tho Aldington market there was a good sale again for all classes of stock except fat cattle, for which there was an easing tendency because of over-supply, but values for prime steers were maintained. Prices for both fat and store sheep showed little change. Store lambs.—There .was an entry of 4316. Prices for ordinary wether lambs were down a full shilling a head, but there was little change in ewe lambs. Tops o£ tho nicrkot for open-wools sold to as high as 24s lOd, medium to good 16s to 19s lOd, and inferior 10s to 13s 6d..

Store sheep.—Hie entry totalled 14,376, and prices reached parity with last week's sale. There was a keen market for Hornnoy cross and a pen from West Otago made 40s, top price for tho season. Values for older ewes, which were easier earlier, Wero maintained in the later stages. Tho price for halfbrcd ewes was 21s 3d, and other pens made from 18s 6d upward. Failing-mouthed sheep sold remarkably well, making from 13s 6d to 15s 6d, avearago to good, sound mouth, made to 17s, and poorer sorts from 10s to 12s. The highest price for four-year Rorancj ewes wa? 29s 3d, other lines selling to. 28s. Fat lambs.—The quality was only moderate. The export schedule was unchanged and values were maintained about recent rates. Top price was 32s 10d, but this did not reflect general values. Export buyers operated at from 23s to 25s 6d, and butchers' lambs, which were in small supply; ranged from 27s to 295. Fat sheep: There was an entry of 4750 head, compared with 5000 last week. A short entry of wethers caused a firming in values and for outstanding pens pricci ranged from 32s to 36s 3d. Otherwise values showed little change compared with last week. For ewes the export schedule was increased by an eighth of a penny, and prices for export were consequently fractionally firmer. Extra prime wethers sold from 32s to 365, plain to prime 26s 6d to 31s, light to medium 25s to 28s. extra prime ewes to 25s 6d, butchers' primo ewes 17s to 19s, ordinary ewes 15s to 16s 6d. and export lis 6d to 15s. Fat cattle.—Extra good beef averaged from 41s to 42s per 1001 b, good 38s to 40s, medium 36s to 37s 6d., and ordinary to 345. Extra prime steers sold to £l9 17s 6d, prime medium to heavy £l3 15s to £l7 ss, light and ordinary £ll 5s to £l2 15s prime heifers, to £ll 15s, medium to good £7 ss, to £9 10s, extra prime cows to £l3 17s 6d, medium to prime £7 5s to £lO 15s. Fat pigs.—Towards tho close of the salo prices were 5s to 6s a head above those of lasi week. Values for chopper? were increased bv abmit £1 a head.
