BOMBER BONDS CAMPAIGN

In connection with the "Bonds; for Bombers" campaign Mr M. A. Lliott chairman of tho Palmerston North National Savings Committee, this afternoon received the following telegram from Mr I. N. Smallwood, chairman of the Dominion committee, the message being lodged at l.dO p.m.: "Great going, Palmerston North. The total is now half a million and we expect sensational figures will be broadcast to-night. Can you help us reach the million mark to-day? \s instancing the cumulative benefit of small contributions, the local organiser (Mr A. C. F. Charles) stated to-day that the employees of Messrs Collihson and Cuuninghame, Ltd., had between them subscribed for nearly £BO worth of bonds and the staffs ol other large firms had also co-operated in buying bonds.
