Ho will resume riding at the Hawke’s Bay meeting on Saturday, somo of his mounts being Talcnta. Duncannon, Dungloe, Stella Lux and Olein. His friends will be pleased to learn that Alan McDonald is making good progress in hospital, although it will lie some time yet before lie is well enough to return home. Local horsemen have been engaged as follows for the Hawke’s Bay meeting: 11. p, Stewart. Old Bill, Rakahanga, Nighcan ; S. Waddell. Flying Hawk; C. A Bowr.y, Silver Mask, Silver Mi-V That good little mare Star Zone who haa been having a spell, is to resume work this week. -Lilt has been decided to give the big two-year-old Kahur.anaki a holiday. He is still growing and should come back as a commanding three-year-old and one 1 ike 1 y to pay his way. L. Wilson has Old Bill in good order and ho will have his next race in the Ilawke’s Bay Cup on Saturday. lhe yielding tracks are in his favour.
