BRIGHTER PROSPECTS
SETTLEMENT OF TROUBLE. (Press Assn.) AUCKLAND. March 25. Informed circles to-day considered the prospects brighter ior a settlement of the AYestfield trouble. Messrs T. F. Anderson and H. Campbell (members of the disputes committee of. the Auckland Trades Council and the Federation of Labour) are. conferring with representatives of the companies and their decisions are being placed before a meeting of the men this afternoon. The remainder of the strikers sentenced on Alondav presented themselves at tho police station to-day. Police vans and two postal vans were kept busy until the afternoon taking the prisoners to gaol in batches of ten.
