SOLDIERS’ OFFENCES
(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON. Mar. 24. Sentences on soldiers found guilty by district courts-martial of offences against military law were promulgated to-day. Private Samuel Hall Gregg, found not guilty of desertion but guilty of absence without leave, was sentenced to 42 days’ detention; Sapper Lawrence MeQuoid, found guilty ol desertion on active service, was sentenced to GO days’ gaol with hard labour.
