Bluff (aunt). The official citation covering tho award of a bar to the D.F.C. to PilotOfficer T. J. W. Williams, of Hastings (reported yesterday) states that in November, 1941, this officer was the captain of an aircraft detailed to carry out an important operational mission. During the flight his aircraft was attacked by eight enemy fighters and sustained severe damage. The front turret was put out of action, the wireless transmitter hit by an explosive bullet, and other damage inflicted. Despite this, Pilot-Officer Williams. by his skill and initiative, succeeded in damaging an enemy aircraft and completed the allotted task. This officer lias shown exceptional coolness in face of danger.
