NAPLES AGAIN
BOMBED BY R.A.F
MEDITERRANEAN RAIDS. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Nov. 12. Naples and Brindisi were again attacked by R.A.E. bombers on Monday night. Cloud obscured tlie effect of the bombing of Naples, but at Brindisi bombs were seen to fall in the vicinity of tlie floating dock, seaplane base, industrial buildings, and harbour entrance. Naval aircraft attacked planes at Catania (Sicily) the same night. The weather was bad and the results were not observed.
On Monday .night bombers raided objectives in Libya. Direct hits were obtained on a large German supply depot at Benghazi, where fires broke out.
Bombs were dropped among storo dumps on the northern lauding ground at Gaza la.
In a daylight attack on "Wednesday, S.A.A.F. Maryland bombers successfully raided the workshops and military buildings at the .Berka aerodrome. A number of vehicles were destroyed and others damaged in an R.A.E. raid on Jedaby at El Agcila Road.
All our planes returned safety DESTROYER’S SUCCESS.
An Admiralty communique says a Dornicr 215 attempting to attack a British convoy in the North Sea - on ALonday evening was shot down in flames by the destroyer Quantock. The destroyer opened fire as the Dornicr approached the convoy. .Shells were seen to burst around the plane, which tried to climb .into the clouds, but with a burst of flame it crashed into tho soa. No casualties or damage were suffered by the convoy or the escorting warships.—Official AYireless.
