BREAK WITH FINLAND.

(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) . RUGBY, Aug. 1. The Finnish Minister (At. Gripeubergi was received this evening at the Foreign Office by Mr Eden, Foreign Secretary, and, acting on instructions from his Government, broke off diplomatic relations between Finland and Britain. Jn consequence of this action, instructions have been sent to Mr Verekcr, the British Alinistor to Finland, to ask for his passport. Regret is expressed in London that 1* inland, under pressure associated with the Axis Powers, has been forced into this action. Press reports state that the Finnish Government lias requested the Swedish Government to represent Finland in London and it is thought the United States Government may look alter British interests in Finland.—Official Wireless.
