ALTERNATIVE SERVICE.
(Press Assn) WELLINGTON, .Aug. 1. Returned Soldiers’ Associations are perturl>od by the absence of any indication from the Government of its intention to put into operation the regulations relating to alternative service by conscientious objectors and defaulters. The Dominion executive of the It.S.A. lias decided to communicate immediately with the ActingPrime Minister, outlining tlio seriousness of the position and urging that a definite assurance be given that action will bo taken at once.
