NO PEACE WITH NAZIS.
NETHERLANDS DETERMI NED. (liec. 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, July 28. Apart from a change in the Defence Department, the personnel of the Netherlands Government in London, which has been appointed by Queen Wilhelmina, remains unaltered. In view of the great importance attached now to the Netherlands navy, a separate Navy Department has been created. The department will function under Vice-Admiral Euratner’s direction.
The Netherlands Government has intimated that “the entire conduct of affairs and the method of working arc, and will continue to be, directed to participate most energetically with the Allies and the United States in the prosecution of the war. the regaining of their complete independence, and the solution of the problems which will occur afterwards.” The Government has also affirmed its intention to place its services at the disposal of the Queen upon its return to the Netherlands. The Government is unconditionally determined that no parley whatsoever with the Nazi regime will be entertained. Neither discussions nor negotiations with Hitler and his conspirators will be entered into. Every effort of which the Netherlands are capable of making will be made in order to assist in the liquidation of present-day Nuzi Germany.— Official Wireless.
