FURTHER RAIN. (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, July 24 The forecast is for moderate winds from an easterly quarter. The weather will be dull, with further occasional rain. Temperatures moderate. CHANGE IN CONDITIONS. The sequence of bright sunny days following frosty nights came to an end in Palmerston North yesterday afternoon, when light rain fell, 'there was a heavy fall with the darkness and this continued almost without cessation till early this morning. The rainfall recorded at West End for the 24 hours ending at 9.30 a.m. today was 76 points. The total for the month to date is 1.53 in. METEOROLOGICAL.
