(Rec. 8.5 a.m.) RUGBA, July 21. Taking over the command of the i Auxiliary Territorial Service from I Duhie Helen Gwynne Vaughan, to-day, j Airs Knox stated that she hoped to have a personnel of 200,000 in the A.T.S. in six months' time.
“Our chief job, ’ said Airs Knox, “is to see our numbers made-up to more than 200,000. Wo have now between 40, and 50.000 and by Christmas I hope to see another 100,000 in our ranks.”—Official Wireless.
