MEAT CRISIS
Shcepfarmers over a wide area arc to be called together for a public meeting to consider the meat crisis and to take steps to set up a special eomnfftteo with the object of maintaining closer contact with tho Meat Producers’ Board or. all questions relating to the disposal of meat. M ith this end in view, shcepfarmers within the counties of Kiwitca, Pohangina, Oroua, Manawatu, Kairanga and liorowhcnua are invited fo attend a meeting to be held in tho Drill llall, Fcilding, on Iridav afternoon next at 3 o’clock. Tho conveners of the meeting aro Messrs J. Mair, W. C. Booth, J. Perry, A. Campbell and R. Macdonald. It is intended to make the. committee as representative as possible, lor its functions will include keeping a close watch on every aspect of the disposal of tho country’s exportable meat. AH sheepfarmers aro urged to make a point of attending this important meeting.
