(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON. July 22 The returns to date give the following soldiers’ votes in the Waitematu by-election :
W. B. Darlow (Independent) 59. Mrs M. M. Dreaver (Government) 56, N. V. Douglas (Democratic Labour) 6. H. T. Head (Pan-New Zealand) 5, and P. 11. Gardner (Independent) 3. Though not complete, these represent the bulk of the votes expected from the members of the Forces overseas.
