The eighth annual meeting cf the Defence Rifle Chili was hold on Saturday night, Mr W. G. S. Romley presiding. The report showed that the club lias come through a. trying year very successfully, and completed a short competition period by conserving a small supply of ammunition for this purpose. Tho balance-sheet showed a sound financial position. The election cf officers resulted: —Patron, Mr A. W. Akers: president, Mr W. G. S. Romloy: vice-presidents, Messrs W. R. Kells. S. Mayhcw. J. H. Griffiths: deputy-presi-dents. Messrs J. A. McDonell. T. !C. Romj ley, W. N. Brower, S. J. Brookie; secl rotary, Mr R. A. Jones: assistant-secre-tary, Mr C. W. Turner; ammunition stewards, the secretary and assistant-secretary; i treasurer, Mr T. C. Romley; management I committee, Messrs W. G. R. Rohtley. C. W. Turner, R. A. Jones, J. A. McDonell, iT. C.
