! LONDON, July 20. 1 Important Ministerial changes were announced from No. 10 Downing Street. The Minister of Information (Mr Duff Cooper) i becomes Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and is going- to the Far East to co-ordinate policy.
the new Minister of Inlormation is -Mr Brendon Bracken, a newspaper ! propr.etor. / j The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs (Mr It. A. Butler) receives his first senior Ministerial appointment. He becomes President of the Board of Education, succeeding Mr H. ltanisbothain. who receives a Barony and becomes chairman ot the new Unemployment Assistance iioaro. Mr Harold Nicholson, of the Board of Education, becomes a governor of the B B.G. and .Mr Richard Law, son oi the late Mr Bonar Law, will succeed Mr Butler.
By going overseas Mr Duff Cooper joins a notable group of Ministers and Ambassadors who have recently proceeded abroad.
