STATE OF SIEGE IN BOLIVfA. I NEW YORK, July 20. A message from La Paz (Bolivia) states that' a state of siege has been decreed ali the result of the discovery of pro-Nazi elements and subversive activities which, according to the otncial spokesman, have been carried on under the direction of the German Legation secretary. The spokesman said thd decree was in keeping with iho Government’s duty to maintain owhiic Order and “to develop an energetic attitude in the lace ol dein:»gogv trying to undermine public 01 The Ministry of the Interior action need that the country is tranquil, and that all measures are precautionary. . United States Government circles conjecture that Nazi agents have been seeking to foment revolution in Bolivia with the object of interrupt™" tin shipments to Britain and the United States. Bolivia is the world s third largest lin producer.
