PATRIOTIC SHOP.

Tho Russell Street School with Mrs 0. Brill and Mrs G. 1. McGregor in charge, had tho patriotic shop for tho first three days last week, and did record business, receipts being £4l 13s 3d. The Linton Women’s Institute (Mrs W. Algic and Miss E. Young in charge) had the latter part of the week. Goods from the country were appreciated, as evidenced by receipts. £36 7s 3d. Tho total loi tho week was £73 Os 6d. Goods donated for competition arc acknowledged as follows: —Dinner, Mcsdamcs IT. J. Clements. Doreen, # O. Brill C. S. 'Lawson and Mr Battson; iced cake, Mrs A. Dawson; fcltex handbap, Mrs J. Hankin: bag of sugar, Mrs G. IMcGregor and Mrs O. Brill; tin of tea, Mrs N. Blackmorc; case of apples, Joe Kwong Leo; petticoat and bootees, anonymous; hand worked tea doth, Mrs Smith; bag of flour. Mrs G. Rix; dinner, Mrs S. Ti-vino and Airs J. Robertson. Results of these ccmpeHtrciis arc advertised in this issue. Thanks are due to all the ladies who staffed the shop and to the donors of goods and cash. ’lbis week the Townswomen's Guild have the shop. Mrs K. McDonald is visitor for the shop committee.
