WELLINGTON, July 19. The suggestion that representatives of the churches should be appointed to seats in the Legislative Council with a view to effecting a closer relationship between Church and State was contained in a question by Mr Broadfoot (Nat., AVaitomo). Mr Broadfoot asked the aeting-Prime Alinister if the Government would give consideration to the suggestion, which, lie said, had appeared in the July issue of the AYcllington Diocesan' Church Chronicle and had been endorsed, hv the Lieutenant-Commissioner of the Salvation Army.
