WOMEN'S WORLD

Mrs G. Reid, of Palmerston North, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs G. A. Gamman, of Picton, wife of Major Gamman, of the Forestry Corps, is the .guest of Mrs H. Cunuinghamo, Victoria Avenue. A tea party was held at Messrs Collinson and Cunningharae's yesterday by members of the executive of the IVlanawatu Women's Club in order to farewell Mrs T. Simpson prior to ber departure for Auckland. Mrs A. E. Mansford presided and on behalf of those present asked Mrs Simpson to accept a shoulder spray. Mrs Mansford referred to the loss the club would sustain by Mrs Simpson's departure as she had been a valued member, always prepared lo take her part and ever ready to use her vocal gifts for the benefit of others. The Mayoress wished the guest of honour all happiness in her new sphere, and the other members added their felicitations.
