REHABILITATION BILL.

• R.S.A. DISCUSSION. (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, July IS. A report regarding the presentation of a draft Rehabilitation Bill to the Government, recently discussed with Hon. W. Nash and members of the Cabinet and.the War Council, was given at a meeting of the Dominion! executive committee of the N;Z.R.S.A. The indication given to the representatives of the association, it was reported, was that a Government Bill would he introduced this session and that a Soldiers’ Civil De-establishment League would probably be incorporated in the plans. The representative of the association who interviewed every member of the recently returned draft of sick and wounded ex-servicemen reported that they were all a “very fine type.” AH wore appreciative of the care and attention given them. A number of them would need assistance to become reestablished in civil life. There were general complaints in regard to the i canteens, particularly that they wore 1 staffed by Egyptians and that New ’ Zealand tobacco was not. procurable. i It was decided to investigate the complaints ol recently returned soldiers 1 in regard to canteens overseas and eu- < deavour, if it were found necessary, to i improve the canteen facilities. Concern was expressed over recent i statements made before the Armed Forces Appeal Boards, particularly when made by persons •to whom children are entrusted for their education.
