Ihe purport of such Resolution was: In exercise of its powers under Section }°2 of "The Municipal Coiporations Act 1953, the Council resolves by way of Special Order that it accept a surrender of the leasehold interests of David Edward Jones, of Palmerston North. Builder, as Lessee, under a certain Memorandum of Lease No. 18669, dated tho 51st day of March, 1930, in and to 1 acre 20 6 perches being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 9824 part Section 1536, Palmerston North, upon condition : (1) That such surrender shall take effect from the Ist day of June, 1941.
