INVALIDED SOLDIERS.

A number of New Zealand soldiers who have been invalided back from the Middle East passed through Palmerston North last evening. The men were accommodated in one of the new ambulance carriages and were accompanied by a doctor, a trained nurse, and a member of the St. John Ambulance Division. On the Palmerston North station to greet the men were the Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford) Mid Mr B. J. Jacobs (president of the local branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association). The men were provided with comforts by the members of the Palmerston North branch of the Ped Cross Society, and these were very much appreciated.
