SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.

There was the usual good attendance' at the weekly dance lor members of the Forces sponsored by the National Club. Mesdames H.-G. Mills, J. G. Grimshaw, Rawcliffe, and J. H. Whyte were the hostesses and they were assisted by Messrs Mills, Cubitt, Rawcliffe, and Driver. The lucky Gay Gordons dance was won by Miss Tutty and Leading-Aircraftsman E. Wilson, and the Monte Carlo waltz by Miss Alary Gibbons and Leading-Aircrafts-man F. J. Dalton. Music was provided by Misses B. Algie and P. King. Mrs J. H. Whyte and Miss E. Sinclair, assisted by Mrs-P. Lane, acted as hostesses at the A.N.A. Club dance held in Miss Gwen Gibbs's studio on Saturday. A lucky spot dance was won by Miss K. Spence and Private C. Britten. Miss P. King played for the dances, extras being provided by several Territorials.
