Meteor Theatre. —Franchot Tone, in the first Western role of his career, stars at the head of an imposing cast in the newUniversal frontier epic, "Trail cf the Vigilantes," which show? tonight at the Meteor Theatre. In the picture with Tone are Warren William, Broderiek Crawford, Andy Devine. Mischa Auor, I'ortcr Hall, Teggy Moran. Samuel S. Hinds and other well "known players. Tone portrays an undercover agent sent by a newspaper to the frontier in quest of the'murderer of a reporter, and his ai'venluros lead him into conflict with a gang of -attic rustlers. "Trail of the Vigilantes'' was directed by the veteran Allan Dwau. Photographed by Joseph Valentine and Milton Kr: snrr. noted Hoi,y wood cincmatographers, the film contains many picturesque ci.tc.oor scenes made in the high mountain legions of California.
