REFUGEES IN JAPAN.
VANCOUVER, May 4. According to Brigadier B. Morris, of the Salvation Army, who lias arrived from Shanghai, the conditions of German Jewish refugees in Japan are pitiable. T He states that in Kobe 0000 Jews have no quarters and are forced to sleep in (lav and night shifts, and that 17,000 Jews in Shanghai arc in a worse position than the Chinese refugees in Japanese-occupied China.
