IMPROVEMENT AT TOBRUK (British Official Wireless.)
nice. 9.-IS a.in.) RUGBY. May 30. In Libya the small advance announced at Tobruk has straightened out part of our position in the western defences occupied by the Germans when they made a dent flier ■ some time ago. A large formation of enemy aircraft, raided Tobruk yesterday. Four were shot down by anti-aircraft fire and several others damaged. - From all operations in the Middle East five of our planes arc missing.
