PRISONERS OF WAR
REMOVAL TO AUSTRALIA, GERMANS AND ITALIANS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, May IT. The Minister for the Army (Mr Spender) announced to-day .that the Commonwealth Government, at the request of the'British Government, has agreed to take Italian and German war prisoners for internment. Most of the prisoners will come from tlie Middle East, where, it will be recalled, many thousands of Italians were captured in General "Waved's drive to Benghazi.
