PERSONAL.
Private G. A. Robertson was the recipient of a suitably inscribed cigarette case when he was met by fellow members of the staff of the Manawatu Times. The presentation was made by Mr R. H. Billens, who eulogised the services of the departing member of the staff. Members of the staff oi the traffic department of the Palmerston North City Council gathered yesterday to make a presentation to Private R. Hill, of the 2nd N.Z.E.F., who was for a number of years employed by the department as a bus driver. The presentation of a box of handkerchiefs and a writing set was made by Mr P.-Hansen, who congratulated Private Hill upon bis voluntary enlistment and extended best wishes for his safe return.
