SEX BROADCASTS
WELLINGTON, May 14
The subject matter of ;t Merit's of lectures, commenced on Sunday .night last through the commercial broadcasting service, and dealing with "sex and its contagious diseases.” was discussed at the annual meeting of the Wellington School Committees and Educational Federation. The broadcasts were stated to be given by the Controller of Commercial Broadcasting (Mr C. G. Scrimgeottr). It was decided that a delegation wait on Mr Scrimgeonr. A motion that a letter be sent to tbo Prime Minister. the Minister of Education, and the Minister oi Health was lost. Air F. H. Porter said that one women's auxiliary had sent a letter of protest to the Minister of Education, asking for an investigation. He was not against sex education, but against 'Such broadcasts to all types and ages of both sexes. As representatives of committees having the welfare oi children at heart, they were vitally interested .
