FAREWELL TARTY.
MRS F. GHAVING. Airs F. Cowing, a well-known resident who is shortly leaving to live in Auckland, was entertained at a tea party at the Rosco rooms this morning. The gathering was organised by Mrs AM F. Field, who presided, and there were present the following representatives of organisations: Mrs C. A. Small (president of the Y.AV.C-A.), .Miss A. Pickering (A. and P. Association), Mesdames L. Bale (women’s section of the National Party), AV. A. Jacques (United Guild), J. C. Riddle (Rosemary Chib), VM J. Robertson (Crippled Children Society),' Miss 51. Mathosoii and Mesdames AM G. Shannon, C. Eglinton, T. Taylor. 51. Hodgson, H. Millard, Smith (AV.D.F.U.). Apologies for absence were received from Sister Spensley, stesdames AM G. Black, G. Lyne, H. sTo»tgomery, J. A. Russell, A. Adcock, Spear, E. B. Jennings, B. A. Bond, and Miss 51. Poole. These representatives spoke on behalf of tlioir organisations, expressing gratitude for the valuable service given by sTrs Gowing, and slrs Field called on Mrs Millard to make a small presentation on behalf of those present, for which slr,s Gowing expressed thanks.
