AIRMAN'S THANKS.
LETTER FROM CANADA. A brief but much appreciated letter from "A Kiwi Airman" in Canada has been received by the Mayor (Mr T. L. Seddon) and addressed to the people of Feilding. In it the airman states: "I am just writing to let you know how much we appreciate the Christmas comforts we received from you. They arrived in good order, and if they were a little late owing to the difficulties of sea'communication of these days, it did not detract Irom their value in our eyes. I suppose you sometimes wonder how we are getting on over here and how we like Canada. We find there is a lot of -work, but also plenty of play to balance it. Canada is quite a bit colder than we're used to, but otherwise it's a swell place. It's -not so good as New Zealand, though. The people here arn grand, and do their best to make us feel at home."
