Mrs Russell Grace, of Wanganui, has been visitkig Palmcrston North.
Misses Dawn and June Osborne, of Petone, and Miss Dorothy Hudson, of the Hutt, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs J. 0. Young.
Miss Frances O'Callaghan, of Palmerston North, wJio has been visiting her mother, Mrs M. O'Callaghan, of Now Plymouth, has loft to spend a holiday in Ohristchurch. Saturday was a much more pleasant day iit the Awapuni racecourse than, the first day of the Manawatu Pacing Club's autumn meeting, and feminine patrons took the opportunity to wear summer frocks and huts, there being many attractive ensembles. Mrs L. H. Collinson, wile of the president, wore an amber and brown silk ensemble and shady hat of coarse brown straw. Mr and Mrs Collinson entertained visitors and others at luncheon and afternoon tea.
