LIGHTING RESTRICTIONS.

Per Press Association. " WELLINGTON, March 14. Formal notice of further restrictions on lighting as from Tuesday has been issued by the Mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) as chairman of the Wellington Emergency Precautions Organisation, results of observations made by the Marine Department having shown that the glow is still too great. The restrictions mentioned are chiefly concerned with verandah and shop lighting and. illuminated signs, but the reductions are now ordered to apply between sunset and sunrise, permitting owners of coloured signs to display them during the day. It is stated that approximated 1000 street lamps are already, shrouded.
