SURPLUS FOR ONTARIO.
(Rec. 9.45 a.m.) TORONTO, March 14. The Ontario Premier and Treasurer (Mr Hepburn), in his Budget speech to-day, disclosed a record surplus of nearlv thirteen million dollars. Mr" Hepburn pledged that the Government was determined to live within its income as pait of Ontario's national war effort. The corporation tax yielded 23 million dollars, compared with the 15 millions estimated.
